This year (2024), United by Sports is supporting the Swim & Dance to Fight Cancer initiative. In the Netherlands, over 124,000 people are diagnosed with cancer annually—14 every hour. Under the motto “Love life. Fight cancer,” Fight Cancer aims to inspire people to take action and support further cancer research.
”Research is essential. Every hour, around 14 people are diagnosed with cancer—over 300 per day. We know that research makes a difference: over the past 50 years, the five-year survival rate has increased by an astonishing 90%.”
